X Strikes Again
Like Thrown Stones
You should see these birds
zoom by like thrown stones,
fearlessly among the columns
of the temple of the walking,
make a quick stop
to address recently-bloomed morning glories,
chirp stridently as if enthused,
and once again become blurry feathery-gray bullets
heading towards the heart of a tree,
and sink like a bunch of frogs
in a slimy-green lotus pond,
and concealed deep in its arms,
hide like thieves with booty.

Another X Poem
Door
Symbol of entrance
into the unknown
or the everyday places
we feel comfortable with.
Symbol of a barrier
between what is possible
and what we desire
eagerly to overcome.
Symbol of safety
behind its illusory strength
from fears we feel
and try to keep away from.
Symbol of delimitation
of where something ends
and where something else begins,
known or unknown.
Symbol of holiness
guarding the entrances
of the holy houses of gods,
depriving and allowing.
Symbol of solitude,
for when a door is shut
by someone intentionally,
the action has purpose.
Symbol of domain,
for even the mind has doors
which should not be open nor closed,
but ajar.
Symbol of death.
You, guard of its threshold,
when your hinges softly open,
I will travel past you.
