The Average Dude Blog welcomes authenticity, creativity, and philosophical discussion of any kind. With this venue, we no longer have to sit in our bunkers drinking warm beer and smoking cheap cigarettes, wondering which will come first, death or understanding.

I assume that he lived to tell the story. SO traffice must be a real mess. Is it true that a lot of heavy trucks used that span of the bridge that fell.
Oh yeah. Heavy Levy man.
Dude survived, but will not be telling any tales for awhile.
he had part of his colon removed because the seatbelt pressed so hard against his abdomin that it severed the colon on impact. He shattered is left arm and leg, and broke most of the bones in his face (i.e. jaw, palate, eye sockets, cheeks, et al) and part of his lung collapsed and the whole thing is bruised from the seatbelt.
they think his airbag deployed as there were no steering wheel marks on his face, which broke his fall. likely the bags saved his brain and spine from damage. now he comes in and out of consciousness and has proven to have no spinal or brain injuries.
the dr. said that he had never seen such forceful (survivable) injuries before.
his colon is now repaired and on tuesday he gets his face rebuilt with titanium. 6-8 weeks with his mouth wired shut. a brand new set of teeth, all straightened out.
longer story short, the dude got schniked but will most likely get to tell the tale in a few months.
they say that every time he comes out of sedation he has amnesia (from the drugs they give him) and thus has to relive the confusion of waking up in a hospital bed with tubes everywhere, the last thing he remembers before the collapse. trippy shit.
Well we know who the 2007 sitch point winner is.
never count your Sitch! points before you've been sitched.
good point. i'll relay the message that he has won as soon as he regains consciousness and a sense of humor.
