The Average Dude Blog welcomes authenticity, creativity, and philosophical discussion of any kind. With this venue, we no longer have to sit in our bunkers drinking warm beer and smoking cheap cigarettes, wondering which will come first, death or understanding.

Iceman, Hope the flight went well. Did your luggage end up in never never land? So now is the time to let the games begin. Get out by the pool, fire up the quincho have a beer and think average dude thoughts.
AVISO...Local supermarket chain STOCK has just declared WednesdayS...(yes brethren, once a week) to be Dia de la Cerveza... a shot of the banner that proudly flies throughout the city of Asuncion would be in order for the blog, but we have no plans, we hold no expectations and will not, accordingly so, be disappointed.
Dia de la Cerveza....just what are the implications? I am sure that average dudes will head to the local STOCK store on Wed to check it out. Does this mean HOT girls scantilly clad handing out beers inside the store? Will Thursdays be procaimed shot and a beer day? Finally a ray of good hope. Es el tiempo para cuatro veinte!
Oso, no worries on the luggage sitch. All arrived fine. Life is indeed ironic.
Today we saw the shanties along the river, where everyone appeared happy despite the stench.
I was pleasantly slightly surprised to find that all beers served to me so far were not only ice cold, but some practically freezing. I particularily admired the giant sized cuzy that fit the 3/4 beers to keep them cold. The puerto ricans could learn a few things from these quayans.
The public bus transportation is definately the way to go. Pollo and I saved 7 liters of beer just by taking the bus. We are now drinking them happily.
The cana rocks!
Pollo just asked if we were going to a bar. All ave. dudes. will find out the answer tomorrow.
Oh yeah, cuz ed. Please take care of Graci's garden visitor plant that is in Graci's garden soon.
observation of the day...
while checking out the battleship behinnd the prez. palace downtown today we enjoyed the viewing of a riverside volleyball game...interestingly, no local kids were bailing off the bow into the river as is the norm..instead there were two uniformed dudes covering up the guns...one dude charged off the gangplank (sporting the "prohibodo pasar" sign with chain) approaching the volley match...iceman observed that he reached for his belt where such uniformed dudes keep there piece...interestingly, he stopped abruptly at the out of bounds line and patiently waited for the play to terminate...once the ball hit the ground, he flashed a smile and handed his cell phone to one of the players....huge relief to us, as we were prepared to witness a murder.....
the hottie seated near us purposefully ignored our reactions...
however, she was indeed taking asskance glances all the while...
the Guay in July is about to go down...with any luck we will notice the change of month..but no matter.
today is tomorrow...runny noses abound...we dined at the ultimate street lomitos... oso blanco...they open to late for our customs pasado...well, currently we are unable to articulate our observations...bottom line..paraguayans are are trustworthry lot to be sure....el precio de gasolina no es tan cara como creen....
